Our client, a leading publisher of international law and tax information based in Central London, is seeking a Tax Editor to work on a range of journals, newsletters, books and e-products. Reporting to the Senior Commissioning Editor, the main duties of the role will involve project managing titles, commissioning authors, copy editing and proofreading. Taking personal responsibility for a suite of titles, the responsibilities will include managing the publishing process from start to finish – scheduling, planning, copyediting, collating amendments, assisting with page layout, proofreading, organising printing, and liaising with external contacts. With excellent editing and proofreading experience, the ideal candidate will have advanced interpersonal and communication skills, and proven organisational abilities. A good knowledge of Law and Tax would be beneficial but not essential. You will have a keen eye for detail, enthusiasm, and the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure. You will need to have a flexible attitude and will be happy to work both independently under minimum supervision and as part of a team.
